In the year 2010, we celebrate 35 years of service to Wisconsin area
educators. Courses are offered by McPherson College, a four
year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Church of the
Brethren. The college is accredited by the North Central Association
of Colleges and schools, and the Milwaukee Off-Campus Center
was granted continuing approval to operate by North Central as the
result of its most recent evaluation in 2005.
The program at the Milwaukee
Center is monitored by a set system of quality controls. Program
evaluation is done by the Continuing Education Director, the Vice
President of Academic Services, and the Educational Policy
Committee which is composed of faculty and administration. Since
1990, the program and courses are also approved by the Wisconsin
Department of Public Instruction.
A bachelor's degree
is the minimum prerequisite for these courses designed for
educators. McPherson does not discriminate on the basis of
race, color, sex, disability, or national origin. The courses may be
used for teacher salary increment, professional growth, and D.P.I.
license renewal requirements. We always recommend that you follow
your school district and/or state policies for course approval. McPherson
does not presently offer a graduate degree, and any transfer of
credits should be approved by the receiving institution.
