This course will explore the aspects of the natural history of the Kettle Moraine State Forest along with the natural beauty of the area of the Southern unit of the Kettle Moraine. Topics covered will include: How glaciation formed the area, unique geographical features, diverse ecological communities, as well and the plants and wildlife of the area. Field trips incorporating nature hikes, guest speakers, and instructor interpretation will provide educators with numerous ideas and activities that can be implemented into the classroom.
