Tell Me a Story…Unique Ideas for Storytelling in the Classroom (3 Credits)

Reading stories to students is very important for accomplishing numerous learning goals. However, telling stories can often be even more effective when working with young children. This arts based course will show you how to make many wonderful props for several different story telling sessions. Using tangible items is certain to enhance story time, making it a more interesting, engaging, and memorable experience for young learners. Student retention of the story material will be stronger, and teachers will enjoy using their new tools! Grades K-2
