Virtual Literacy Resources Across the Curriculum **ONLINE COURSE** (3 Credits)

ONLINE COURSE This course is designed to provide practical instruction and educational activities for implementing literacy in the classroom. Educators will investigate literacy integration and Internet resources including Google for Education, Apps, Add ons, 1:1 Technology and various Web Tools, through the perspective of the classroom teacher. Each course activity includes directions to assist in understanding literacy across grade level classrooms. Activities include digital lessons with a broader conception of literacy, which can better prepare students for life outside the classroom. Internet resources for leveled text (fiction and nonfiction), images, audio and video to the web and social bookmarking will be investigated, analyzed and evaluated. Online discussions will focus on opening up a huge world of possibilities as to how educators can convey, share and engage with students presenting different unique practical uses from the ideas, facts and theories we learn.
