This class tackles the challenges facing teachers in a culturally diverse classroom and school environment. Teachers will hear from a variety of interesting, passionate and informed speakers who will encourage and challenge teachers to think and rethink cultural ideals. A one-day culturally diverse field trip experience includes African dancing, Mexican cuisine, and various cultural centers. Historical videos will take participants back to actual events. Educators will develop strategies and methods for the diverse classroom population by being more aware of cultural needs and using new resources that are available.
