Creating a Peaceful Presence through Mindfulness, Movement and Connection (3 Credits) ** HYBRID COURSE **

This course explores principles of mindfulness and the structure of the mind. Learn to establish your own mindfulness practice. Discover how the application of mindfulness principles can affect how you perceive and consciously respond to students’ behavior. Learn to select discipline strategies and mindfulness and movement activities (including yoga) that will help you and your students to release stress, increase focus, and develop a stronger connection both internally and with the world around. Meets in person Thursdays 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm The remainder of the course is ONLINE.
