Mindful Self-Compassion (3 Credits) ** HYBRID COURSE **

Today’s teachers are encountering unprecedented demands and challenges. In order to continue to give our students what they need, we must learn to nurture ourselves. In this course, you will learn mindfulness and self-compassion skills to help you handle difficult emotions with greater ease, motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism, and nurture yourself with kindness. Eight three-hour class sessions will be complemented by home practices of mindful self-compassion and mindful yoga for this hybrid course. *NOTE: This course is only open to students who have previously completed a McPherson Mindfulness class with Jamie Lynn Tatera or have received special permission from the instructor to enroll in the course. HYBRID: ONLINE & meets in person Tuesday evenings.
